Long Service Awards at Tabley House Nursing Home

On 14th November 2019 the team at Tabley House Nursing Home hosted a long service award event with ‘high tea with a glass of bubbly’ in the Tabley tea rooms. All staff with over five years’ service were invited to celebrate – this was over 61% of Tabley’s staff.

Managing Director of Social Care Peter Smith with Matron Karen Lynskey made special presentations for those staff who had achieved 20 years’ service and over. This included Paul Gibbon and Jayne Roberts with 26 years’ service. Moyra Long, Joanne Mainwaring and Margaret Butcher at 25 years and Eileen Kay and Jonathan Clarke at 20 years.

In addition to the above a total of 18 staff had 10 to 20 years’ service with 17 staff 5 to 10 years’ service.

It was a great afternoon and it was fantastic to see so many staff come together and celebrate their achievement. As one staff member Susan Edwards said, “We are like one big extended family.”

Karen Lynskey, Tabley’s Matron said, “We had several staff just falling short of the five year mark and a staff member who had completed 15yrs but had a slight break in service. I just wanted to thank them as well. We are a fantastic team each and every member of staff provides a key role in ensuring the residents of Tabley receive the best of care. I am proud to be Matron and very proud of our staff.

“A big thank you to everyone at Tabley; and a thank you to Cygnet’s board for supporting the event.”
